Sunday at Shanksville

Skipped church yesterday and went to Shanksville instead. I know, I know, church should come first. But since I worked Saturday, Sunday was the only day available to me.

The temporary memorial is a quiet place where people come to see and ponder and to leave something behind. Here's a few snaps from our fourth visit to Shanksville.

People leave all sorts of things.

They come from far and wide.

Goody Two Shoes adding something to the memorial.

The real reason for going to Shanksville. The final resting place of Flight 93.

God Bless America

Thanks for your great pictures. We were there several years ago right before an anniversary, there were loved one, and members of United Airlines there that day. It is a place that is hard to describe, You just get a feelin over you when there. We are hoping to get back this fall. I have been to the memorial in OK City, it has the same feelin. I like the simpleless of it and the meaning of the memorial is just as strong.
